Nikon Z30 – Some User Overheating issues questions below
Z30 overheats and shuts down in about 30 minutes, not 125 minutes when shooting 4K or HD/120. I just got shut down at 33 minutes shooting 4K/30 in an air-conditioned studio with my brand-new Z30.
Page 593 of the manual actually confirms this: High Quality (video) “Approx. 28 min”.
Really bummed out by this! Longer running time is one of the reasons I bought the camera. Not able to record more than 32 min 4K videos in my air-conditioned room, pls help
Nikon Z30 4k video stops at 30 Min, why?
Does Nikon Z30 Really Overheats, here is the answer
To protect the camera from overheating Nikon added a time limit to Full HD 60p mode and all 4K recording modes.
Screengrab of Nikon User Manual, You can clearly see the recording time limit of the Nikon Z30 camera at 4K and High-Quality Full HD Video recording mode.

The table shows the available shooting time for the Z 30 using a 32GB memory card. It does NOT show how long the Z 30 can record before turning off due to overheating. It does state that the Z 30 MAY turn off BEFORE the maximum recording time is reached.
I have a Z 30 that is mounted in a static position. Without active cooling it overheats in around 30min when recording 4k. Since my environment supports it, I mounted a small heatsink to the Z 30 and placed 120mm fan above it. In an ambient temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius the camera does not overheat with the heatsink and fan.
