Nikon finally announced the Nikon P1000 camera( B&H and Amazon.com), the camera features 125X massive optical zoom lens. The camera features 16 Megapixel CMOS sensor F2.8-6.5, and Max ISO range of 6400. You also get RAW files support, was missing from Nikon P900. The other major advantage of Nikon P1000 camera 4K video options 30p and 25p.

The camera features 7FPS continuous burst mode, but the buffer allow us to have 7 Shots only in single after that we have to wait few seconds to get the buffer free.
The camera also allow us to use Mic Phone port. And hence making it a multipurpose camera for Photographers and Vloggers.
Wireless features include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the camera can be controlled via your smartphone, the new ML-L7 Bluetooth remote or the MC-DC2 wired shutter release. Battery life is rated at 250 shots per charge.
The Nikon Coolpix P1000 will be available in September for $999.

The new camera could have been even more superior, by being 20MP, rather than 16MP.
ut, the lens optical zoom range is phenomenal.
Interesting but the LCD screen is not a touch screen by the look of it.

Finally – Been waiting for the P900 replacement and they have listened it now has RAW capability. Have the P900 which is a bit slow, but this looks a lot faster with 7fps. I am putting in my order now.

Ironic, the P1000 costs just about $1000 …Hey Nikon, do you think a 3000mm equiv. lens is enough?
