Now after 5D mark III light leak problem its time for Nikon D800 & D4, Nikon identified a small unit of Nikon D800 and D4 can lock up and become unresponsive, you can prevent this if you disable the highlight and RGB histogram displays of the camera.
In a statement to PDN Online, Nikon Said
Nikon has received reports of a small number of D4/D800 users who are experiencing ‘locking up’ issues, where the camera becomes unresponsive until the battery is removed and reinserted,
Nikon’s statement reads. “Nikon is investigating a permanent solution to this issue and will update users accordingly. To immediately resolve this issue, users can turn off both the ‘Highlights’ and ‘RGB Histogram’ display options in the ‘Playback Display Options’ sub-menu found in the ‘Playback’ menu.
Nikon also verified a small “run” of Nikon D800 is suffering from a viewfinder problem,
the viewfinder show out of focus problem identified by fstoppers , the camera did focus properly the scene still looked a bit out of focus through the viewfinder, In a reply to this problem Nikon said “a run” of D800s have an issue with viewfinder alignment.
