Nikon D600 and D700(Discontinued*) comes at same price range of $2K, but Nikon D600 features newly developed sensor, double megapixel with better low-light performance and more dynamic range, the Nikon D600 also offers video recording which is un-available at Nikon D700.
Nikon D700 features more AF point compared to Nikon D600, but New AF system is used in Nikon D600 for more accurate and features faster AF speed.
Nikon D600 uses and have Advance Nikon Multi-CAM 4800 autofocus sensor module with TTL phase detection AF Detection Range -1 to 19 EV (ISO 100, 68°F/20°C) and Nikon D700 uses Nikon Multi-CAM 3500FX auto-focus module and features Detection range: EV -1 to EV +19 (ISO 100 equivalent, at normal temperature: 20°C/68°F)
Nikon D600 is a advance camera and comes at almost same price of Nikon D700, we highly recommend you to buy Nikon D600.
