The Theta was announced on 5 September 2013, the camera allows you to capture unique 360° spherical imagery and video with just a single click. Dual lens design, sleek form factor and eye-catching white finish. From both the lenses the camera full spherical image in every click. You also get plenty of manual modes that includes exposure, and Auto, Shutter-Priority, and ISO Priority exposure modes.
The Upcoming THETA camera is rumored to feature 4K video, the announcement date is not know yet but the camera is expected to arrive soon.

Ricoh filled a patent of a 75mm Lens with F2.8 aperture for a 1″ sensor based camera, currently Ricoh doesn’t make any compact or mirror less camera with 1″ sensor and that clearly means Ricoh is can enter in 1″ sensor based compact products.

 Pentax / Ricoh filed a patent to correct focus shift caused by infrared light. In the patent we can clearly see that Rioch is working on 2nd IR (infrared) AF (Auto Focus) Sensor for correcting the Focus shift when the Phase AF sensor fails to do the correct Job in absence of visible light (In a situation when only IF is present).
