Amazon UK leaked the announcement date and price of Pentax K30, the Pentax K30 will cost you approx 699 pounds (body with kit lens) and Amazon.co.uk will start shipping on June 25, 2012 in the UK

Pentax K30 was seems to have prematurely listed on the Amazon UK website for few hours, but the listing is now removed.

As you can see the price of Pentax K30 with kit lens is 699 pounds and Pentax K-01 available in UK at 679 pounds, which is only 20 pound less compared to K-30.

The price of Pentax K30 in US will be approx $949 and the price in the rest of Europe will be approx 799 Euros for kit lens and 699 Euros for the body only.

Pentax Q discontinued ?

According to RayGunn, (member of pentax forum) B&H rep told him that Pentax Q has been discontinued by the manufacturer,

I have just, this morning, been told the Pentax Q has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Went to the B&H website last night to order the Pentax Q, because of the latest price announced here, but the Q was nowhere to be found on their website. I did see the 02 lens price increased from $252 to $399, though.
When I called B&H this morning, I asked the salesman to order the Pentax Q for me, at the newly announced “low” price. After a short wait, he told me it wasn’t on any of his lists and must be temporarily out of stock. I asked him to check on when more stock was expected and he placed me on hold. After about a three minute wait, he came back
on the line and told me his manager told him the Pentax Q has been discontinued by the manufacturer.
So, the question I now have is: Is the Q completely discontinued or will there be a new model?

Four new pentax DSLRs by March, 2013

According to the latest rumors coming from a Russian & Pentax forums, Pentax+Ricoh will announce four new DSLRs by March 31, 2013 (the end of the fiscal year).

Pentax-Ricoh will offer FOUR DSLR till March, 2013.
1. A new Low-end DSLR / Entry Level DSLR or may be a mirroless from pentax.
2. A new DSLR between K-r and K-5
3. K-5’s replacement
4. Not clear but may be a full frame DSLR
