Olympus Announces Stylus SZ-16 and SZ-15 compacts camera, both camera features 24X optical Zoom, SZ-16 iHS is based around a 16MP CMOS sensor, allowing it to offer 1080p video, SZ-15 makes do with a 16MP CCD sensor, restricting it to 720p video capture, The SZ-16 iHS uses Olympus’ previous-generation TruePic V processor, while the SZ-15 uses an older TruePic III+ chip.

Olympus announced today new 17mm F1.8 Micro Four Thirds Lens, the lens bright F1.8 aperture, metal body and Snapshot Focus mechanism for pan focusing with a distance indicator. to deliver stunning images the lens is composed of three aspherical lenses, including a Dual Super Aspherical element to correct aberrations, as well as a High Refractive index lens to correct high spherical aberrations. The lens also have Olympus’ exclusive ZERO (ZUIKO Extra-low Reflection Optical Coating) lens coatings are applied to the elements to reduce lens flare and ghost images even when shooting against the light.
The Lens is also optimized for video shooting, the lens have a autofocusing mechanism featuring an inner focus system to drive this single-focal-length lens for fast and quiet focusing.
The Lens is available from December with a Street Price: $499.99
