Canon R6 Mark III Announcement in November 2025 (Confirmed)

Canon R Mark III image

So, finally, we got confirmation that the Canon R6 Mark III camera is coming in November 2025 alongside 4 new lenses.  R6 Mark II was a top performer camera when it was announced back in November 2022, and as per the initial set of core specifications we have related to the Canon R6 Mark III, it looks like the upcoming camera is ready to dominate the mid-range full-frame mirrorless camera space once again. Canon hybrid shooters have been waiting for a long time for this update.

When Will the Canon EOS R6 Mark III Be Announced?

Two different dates in November, November 16 and November 26, on these two different days, we are expecting the arrival of Canon’s new products.  Most probably, as per the initial set of information, Canon R6 Mark III may arrive on November 16, 2025, alongside with new set of lenses.

While Canon has not made an official statement yet, multiple industry insiders confirm that the R6 Mark III is in the final stages of preparation. This timeline positions the camera for availability in early 2026. The announcement will happen just before the holiday season starts. The camera will be available in early 2026 for shipping worldwide.  Ok, let’s bring out the specification of the Canon R6 Mark III camera.

Rumoured Specifications of the Canon EOS R6 Mark III

Sensor: Earlier, it was expected that the Canon R6 Mark III camera would arrive with the same 24MP sensor that we have seen in the Canon R3 camera, but In the latest updates, it’s now being told that the R6 Mark III uses the same sensor as the Canon C50 camera, which is a 34.2 Megapixel (7144 x 4790). The Canon C50 readout speed is 14.2ms for reduced rolling shutter in video. Another report points to a 34MP sensor for sharper images and better low-light performance.

Video Capabilities: Expect 6K 60p RAW internal recording, 4K 120p for slow-motion footage, and 10-bit 4:2:2 colour sampling.

Autofocus and Stabilisation: Same AF system as R5 II, Canon’s latest generation of Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF, the Mark III (3rd generation) includes advanced AI-driven subject detection for people, animals, vehicles, and more.

Build and Ergonomics: A weather-sealed magnesium alloy body, dual card slots, introduction of  CFexpress Type B and SD. Battery life is expected to improve over the Mark II

Other Features: DIGIC X processor paired with Digic accelerator, enhanced connectivity with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0

The specs we have above are really very impressive, but for sure, Canon will put some capping over the core Video specification of the Canon R6 Mark III camera to protect the sales of Canon C50, if they are sharing the same sensor.
