Approximately 3 weeks ago, we received hints from an anonymous source. According to them, Nikon will announce the Z9 Mark 2 / Or A Camera Similar to the Z9, the camera will arrive in the first half of 2024. At the same time the source also mentioned the camera the camera will have built-in grip [Like Nikon Z9] with latest gen Wireless Transmitter [5.8GHz/2.4GHz wireless LAN equipment] for high Speed wireless data transfer.
We thought this was an absurd rumor, as there is no way that Nikon would update the Z9 camera so early since it’s a flagship full-frame mirrorless camera so soon. Camera makers typically take at least 4 years to update their flagship cameras, so we decided not to publish this information.
