Sensor Technology Difference – Canon EOS R6 vs Sony A7 III

Canon is using a Plain CMOS sensor whereas Sony is using the BSI CMOS sensor, Technologies wise the Sony A7 III sensor is a generation ahead compared to Canon 20MP Sensor. 10 Bit Video output from Canon EOS R6 Camera

Canon EOS R6 camera is able to save 4:2:2 10bit video files without any issues. And as usual, the Sony A7 III camera is limited to 4:2:0 8 bit internal recording. And like Sony, the Canon EOS R6 camera uses the Oversampling to create 4 k Video Files.
