Canon last film camera finally discontinued, the 18 year old EOS 1v film camera was released on March 2000. The Canon 1v was the last model of Canon professional film camera. In a press release today issued from Canon Japan, they have terminated the sales of the camera. However the service and repair support for 1v consumers will going to be remain active till October 31 2025.

Canon was making Film cameras from past 80 years, Finally they have announced end of film era. If you are still interested in getting a film camera today don’t worry, Nikon do have to active models that include Nikon F6 and Leica still have several models active film models, check at B&H store

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Canon products.By the way, we are finally decided to end sales for the film single lens reflex camera “EOS – 1v”.
We will also take repair measures until October 31, 2025, even after the repair correspondence period of our company’s repair service contract for the purpose of improving service and support for customers who use this product.

They need to honor it by releasing a EOS 3D that is the spiritual successor to this size pro camera. Something that will kick the stuffing out of the Nikon D850, essentially a 1DXII in a normal sized DSLR but with many new features, 36MP, 10fps, same top plate as 1DXII, so button not knobs, full gaskets and sealing, next gen AF, all the features of a D850 like focus shift, etc etc, priuce it at $3999.

Well Canon should Keep film camera and film alive. They should keep on the tradition. It’s not a good move.
