Earlier it was expected that Canon will going to announce fullframe mirorless camera on Sep of 2018. But now according to latest rumors coming from rumor mills, Canon mirrorless camera may arrive end of Q1 in 2019. Now, the rumor mill is talking about end of Q1 of 2019 and that clearly indicated they are talking about March of 2019.
At the same moment we are also getting information that Canon FF Mirrorless camera is being tested by Canon professional
Now according to the rumor mills we may see some kind of development announcement during the month of sep 2018. And there is no specific reason behind the delay of Canon Mirrorless camera.

Mirrorless seems an inevitable simplification as technology continues to improve. It does nothing however to improve the size and bulk of the optics, especially for longer lenses.
So it seems a somewhat pointless exercise, at least for non professionals.
Most consumers now use their phone to take pictures, switching to a camera only when they need more reach. That suggests a smaller but high performance sensor lens package, not another full frame, should have priority.
