Canon working on 10X optical zoom lens for APS-C compact camera. As we all know that the recently announced Canon G1X Mark III camera features 3X Optical Zoom lens. So, Canon is preparing for future competition and we may see a variant of Canon APS-C sensor based Megazoom camera.

WOW.. that’s a great news.
Actually they should also improve the lens speed.. fast aperture zoom lens in compact camera is the need of moment.
For example let’s talk about Sony 15 year old camera DSC R1.. it was a compact camera with APS-C sensor and 5X optical zoom lens with F2.8-4.8
SO what I want to say if Canon is making compact in 2018 then should out a constant aperture zoom lens.
What “10x otical zoom” ? Don’t treat people that stupid, just give as minimum and maximum focal length and apperture. Why when it’s compact camera they talking silly optical zoom? Or may be they think people cant devide 185/18?
