Nikon D610 announced few days ago, As we have said earlier there are no major difference between these camera, take a look below at specification comparison table,
As you can see there is no major difference between these two camera, both shares same core specification and body design.
After a quick research and reading detailed specification + press release of both the camera we found that…
1. Oil issue solved
2. New “Quiet continuous” mode is introduced – After activating the silent continuous shooting mode you can capture 3 fps with limited mechanical noise.
3. Improved white balance with D610
Verdict: New users should buy Nikon D610 camera but we never recommend D600 users to spend $2K and buy the same camera, D600 users should wait for D620 (OR D610 successor).
I think this is a bit of a con job from Nikon. They should have repaired all the D600’s that had the oil issue. Then brought out a replacement for the D700 (of which I have 2). I really wanted a new camera that sat in between the D600 and D800. I would love to have a quiet mode as the D700 is very noisy especially when trying to shoot a wedding in a quiet church !!! This is a bad PR move by Nikon. Tony.
