UPDATE: Its a JPG comparison only (not RAW), but based on the image samples we can clearly see the color tones of both the camera are different, the E-M1 preserving bit more details compared to E-M5. But we  Don’t see any significant improvement in E-M1 compared to E-M5 during High ISO test.

Guys, c’mon everyone knows Ming accidentally switched the names of the cameras. EM1 is on the right and EM5 is on the left. There are several threads on dpreview talking about it. Ming also wrote in his review that EM1 does 14bit RAW files. He got a little sloppy on this review

    Hi David,

Even if we change the name I donn’t see any major difference,

I was planning to buy the new E-M1 camera but I think the E-M5 is better and comes at low cost… that’s you save approx $500 if you buy E-M5,

Here is the blog he is referring to.

I love my EM5, but truly the EM1 is about build quality and options such as wifi over sensor advancement. I am disappointed in the video specs. This is not the upgrade I was hoping for.

Thanks Travvisty for the info, I have updated the image and article content.

I’m disappointed that the E-M1 is not what I had hoped for. It’s basically a souped up E-M5. I was ready to switch, but based on what I’ve seen so far I hold on to my E-M5 for sure. Maybe the next model with 22-24mp sensor.
