Few days ago (see here) Vincent Laforet hinted about a new piece of camera equipment coming on NAB 2013, that clearly deserves being called a “game changer.”
Today he introduced MōVI Stabilizer – The “MōVI” – is a digital 3-axis gyro-stabilized handheld camera gimbal. The “MōVI” produced by Freefly Systems based in Seattle WA.
Jerks, vibrations, and shaky motions are BIG problems when you shoot with a HDSLR, Other camera stabilizers uses counterweights to solve the issue but the highly advance MōVI Stabilizer built with gyro-stabilizers and accelerometers, the 3.5 lbs MōVI will keep a your HDSLR rock steady when you are running on a road or going down from a spiral staircase.
MōVI M10 will cost you approx $15K, M5 (smaller version) will cost you approx $7,500.

This short was shot with the The “MōVI” – a digital 3-axis gyro-stabilized handheld camera gimbal. The completely silent device weighs under 3.5 pounds bare and can be operated solo, or with the help of a second “gimbal” operator with a joystick to pull off some incredible moves.
