The best Compact Camera is Nikon P7000, Canon Should Out a G13 powershot model quickly.
Why these camera have only 5 and 7X optical Zoom?
I’m going for the Canon G12. I have used the Canon G9 for over a year with very impressive results. I’m giving my G9 to my 16yr old daughter as a birthday present! Keeping it in the family. 😉
I own a Canon G10 and it is great within its limits. However, without seeing the IQ (image quality) reports neither one of these new cameras is on my list and I will probably put the money towards a new DSLR that can outperform either one of these cameras. NIKON: MAKE MY D700X!!! 😉
I tested both cameras and the G12 was the winner due to greater responsiveness, articulated LCD, in-camera HDR, etc

Ho provato entrambe le camere e la G12 è sembrata più reattiva ma, non credo che una compatta la si acquisti per riprese di sport o action. La Nikon è quella che ho scelto per la resa perfetta dell’incarnato nella personalizzazione “Neutro”. Inoltre la differenza a favore della Nikon P7000 sembra essere sopratutto la capacità di riprodurre una estesa gamma di cromatica con delicate nuances. Eccezionali i verdi. Ottima la risoluzione e notevole la qualità ottica, per correzione della distorsione e nettezza dei dettagli.
Ho scelto e acquistato la Nikon P7000!
