This may be the first Fujifilm camera that I don’t like. Saying this from the bottom of a Fuji fan boy’s heart. Ok, to be honest, after watching multiple reviews, and am not able to accept the type of still or video quality I am getting from this camera. Despite having a large 1-inch sensor. Image quality isn’t able to reach the level that other cameras with a lens can do.

Instead of putting R&D into such cameras, better to spend some time on the development Fuji X-A5 or X-T200 successor
Yes, we do know that Instax series cameras are very popular among Gen Z, and they are a great source of revenue for Fuji, and there is no harm in introducing more and more toy cameras. But for those who have really associated with Fuji for a long time, like myself, I am really very much disappointed today.

“My smart phone will take better photos” And we are done.
A friend at Fujifilm mentioned they’re planning to release a camera this year that I’d absolutely hate. Honestly, if you’re after a fun and enjoyable shooting experience, I’d recommend picking up a second-hand X-E1 and pairing it with the 27mm f/2.8, a manual TTArtisan lens, or even an adapted vintage lens.
No, Thanks I am shooting with the all-new GoPro X Half! Its easy just rotate the camera 😉
Now with 50% of the view and 200% more confusion.
Revolutionary design. Zero features. Zero dollars.
Go half. Go weird. GoPro X Half.
This really should’ve been a $500 camera. At $850, I’m not sure who the target audience is. Honestly, in this case, the smartphone in your pocket might be the better all-around choice. The camera feels more like a novelty — a fun little toy rather than a serious tool. I’m sure it can be enjoyable to use, but the price just doesn’t justify what it offers.
This thing feels like the perfect reflection of modern society — all about nostalgia, but completely lacking in substance. I was honestly waiting for a clever reveal, like it being a hybrid digital/analogue camera — hence the “half.” But nope. It’s just a tiny digital sensor with some software tricks slapped on to simulate the feel of film. All style, no soul.
This camera honestly boggles my mind on every level. Materials for camera manufacturing are getting harder to source, development costs are rising, and we’re already seeing price hikes of €300–€400 on cameras that don’t fully justify it. Major models like the X-Pro 4 and X-E5 are still nowhere to be seen — and this is what gets released instead? A half-baked toy with underwhelming performance, a tiny sensor, and a premium price tag? It’s frustrating, confusing, and feels completely out of touch with what photographers actually want.
