Dpreview Shutting Down

According to recent news coming straight out from dpreview website, the website will go down.  take a look at the key points

• After nearly 25 years of operation, DPReview has decided to shut down in the near future. The difficult decision was made as part of a review of the annual operating plan announced by the parent company earlier this year.
• DPReview’s site will be live until April 10th, and our editorial team is still working on reviews and looking forward to bringing you the best content ever. Thank you for your support over the years.
• After April 10th, 2023 the site will be locked and will no longer be updated. After that, it will be available in read-only mode for a period of time.
• You can download all the photos and texts you have uploaded to the site. Downloads will be available until April 6, after which requests will no longer be available.

After nearly 25 years of operation, DPReview will be closing in the near future. This difficult decision is part of the annual operating plan review that our parent company shared earlier this year.

The site will remain active until April 10, and the editorial team is still working on reviews and looking forward to delivering some of our best-ever content.

Everyone on our staff was a reader and fan of DPReview before working here, and we’re grateful for the communities that formed around the site.

Just after reading the news, I felt like is it the 1st of April. Or they have accidentally released the 1st April post on March 22 ? I was not able to believe what I was reading at the moment. Soon after that, I started to check out other websites, dpreview youtube channels.

If Amazon runs out of money, they should ask us for crowdfunding? I am 100% sure that we never let our fav website down like this. I feel more associated with dpreview since I am reading it from my college days, and that’s really hard to believe it will end up like this.

In the end, I am really happy with Chris and Jordan they now teamed up with Petapixel to continue the quality reviews we were getting from them.
