Participate in Still Life Photo Contest at New Camera. Still life photography is the depiction of inanimate subject matter, most typically a small grouping of objects that are either human-made or “natural.” Still life photography, more so than other types of photography, such as landscape or portraiture, gives the photographer more leeway in the arrangement of design elements within a composition.
Shooting still life subjects is one of the best ways to sharpen your photographic skills. You can take your time, and your subject remains stationary. Good composition, framing and lighting are all very important to translate your still life into a great photo.
For this contest, we’ll select the best images to be featured on our FaceBook Fan Page, Twitter, and mentioned in a blog post on The New Camera Website.
