Any more news on G1X Mk iv?
    Keen to see:
Higher dynamic range (15 stops?) and better colour tonality (16 bit?) – to rival medium format quality and tonal smoothness for smaller print sizes
20mm équivalent focal length at the wide end of the lens with great sharpness and no distortion (given this is a travel camera and landscapes are part of travel)
Faster apertures throughout the zoom range
Very high quality lens image properties (colours, contrast, sharpness, zero distortion)
Does not need to go beyond 70mm focal length equivalent (63mm would be fine)
Should aim to be the ideal top end travel camera and double as a professional backup camera capable of moderate print sizes for home wall framing and also editorial use

  • I think the lens should be better than 24/72 as per mk iii

  • It is a poor zoom range when compared with the ixus 500 which is 28 to 336 and is an excellent camera
