Good News: Nikon D810 Production Ended

Nikon D810 production ended

Nikon D810 production ended and Nikon is finally preparing to announce successor of the ultra popular Nikon D810 camera. Based on the information we have received from anonymous sources two different prototypes of Nikon present among us with 50+MP sensor (source here) and one with 70-80MP sensor (source here).

If we talk about Nikon professional DSLRs, yes they do test more than 1 prototype of DSLRs with different core specification. At the moment we have caught info about only two, there is also possibility more than two mock-up exist in the wild.

Before the arrival of Nikon D810 successor we are seeing price cut on D810 body, more price cut is expected in next few months if  D810 demand goes down.

Excellent news but as far as I know Sony commercially listed only two fullframe sensor for sale one of 36MP and other of 24MP. So if Nikon announces a camera more than 36 MP then it’s a clear indication that either Nikon itself designed that sensor or may be Toshiba involved in it’s development.

There have been rumors for a while that a Sony “a9” could have a 70-80mp sensor, so this rumor would be consistent with the development of that sensor.
