Sensors:- Sony DSC-RXIR II has a back-illuminated 35mm full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor with 42MP resolution while Panasonic LX100 has 4/3 format based 12.8MP resolution with MOS sensor, it has been used by many Panasonic mirrorless camera earlier.
Sony RXI R II is supported by advanced Binoz X image processor which maintains the better image resolution even in low-light conditions compare to LX100 and also supports PDAF.
In sports mode the users can captures 42MP files @5fps using DSC-RXIR II while Panasonic LX100 can capture 12.8MP files @ 11fps, The LX100 does have less resolution but it gives a very impressive continuous shooting speed.
Sony DSC-RXIR II has the world’s first Optical Variable Low Pass Filter – The Sony RX1R is the world first camera that features world’s first variable optical low-pass technology inside. The filter allow users to select the desired level of filtration they need, three settings: Off, Standard, and Hi.
Optical Zoom:- LX100 has optical zoom of 3.1x where RXIR II has fixed optical lens. So the optical zoom of LX100, supports the users to capture the required subjects without moving there legs, at the same time it keeps the quality of the images up to the mark. Aperture Range:- LX100 has a variable aperture of F1.7-F2.8 while RXIR II, has fixed aperture of F2.0.
