Latest patent of Panasonic reveals the list of lenses that may get announced in future (however not all patent literature become real product). We can see the patent starts from a ultra-wide 12mm lens and ends 50mm F1.8, the 30mm feels like a macro lens for MFT system.
12mm f/1.8
16mm f/1.8
26mm f/1.8
30mm f/1.8
50mm f/1.8

Panasonic Latest F1.8 Lenses Patent

Can you explain your comment ‘the 30mm feels like a macro lens for MFT system’?. What do you base this on? Thanks.
30mm focal length is unique and mostly used in macro lenses in camera industry.
Thanks for your reply – so it’s nothing to do with the optical design of this particular lens? As a non-expert I don’t understand what’s unique about the 30mm focal length but I know that there are non-macro 30mm lenses around – e.g. the Sigma 30mm f/2.8 for Micro Four Thirds.
To confuse the issue even more I’ve seen other ‘rumour’ reports of a 35mm f/1.8 lens patent for Panasonic. There’s no mention of that being a macro though.
