Last week, Sony registered a new Camera model in Shanghai, China. In Shanghai, China, Sony only manufactures the ZV series camera and their Cinema cameras. So, one strong possibility is that they will announce/update their ZV series compact camera. But the other strong possibility is the announcement of the Sony FX series camera.
Sony FX8 Rumor Details
- According to the latest rumors, we have Sony may announce the Sony FX8 camera. The FX8 is said to be the direct successor of the Sony FX6 / FX9 camera.
- Another rumor with less credibility is the budget FX series Full-Frame camera, but not the replacement for the FX3.
The Sony FX series is getting old and needs a refresh from the camera maker. Let’s hope and expect them to announce a new FX series camera soon. Stay tuned; more updates are coming.

It’s a camera made for video users. I already have the review unit and am impressed with its overall performance. The only feature I wish this camera had is open-gate recording. However, the IBIS is the new unit that works like a charm for handheld usage.
The tipster didn’t mention its FX cinema or A7c series camera

I use the ZV-E1. It’s small and lightweight, and it can take beautiful videos. But it doesn’t have the same heat resistance as the FX3, and the cables are weak, so it doesn’t feel as secure as the FX3. However, the FX3 is big, heavy, and expensive, so I thought it would be nice to have a camera that combines the best of both worlds in terms of size and ease of handling.
I’d love to see a compact APS-C camera with a cooling fan and fixed lens—something like the Canon PowerShot V10. I’m currently using the ZV-E10 Mark II and was hoping the ZV-E10 Mark III would include features like a built-in ND filter and a cooling fan, similar to the ZV-1 II. But ideally, I’d like to see that kind of design released as part of the FX series.
