About Sucheta Das
Sucheta Das, a photographer based in Kolkata (India) started photography as a passion when she was a school student and had a hope in mind to capture the problems of human life around the world as a future photojournalist. She completed her Honors in Geography from Calcutta University. She had attended the photojournalism workshop carried out by Magnum photographer Raghu Rai and fashion photographic workshop by eminent photographer Atul Kasbekar. She participated in 13 days workshop carried out by National Geographic photographer Steve McCurry. She has extensive experience to transmit photo from remote location. She worked in Reuters International news agency for 5 years as a contract photographer and also handled Reuters India picture desk. She worked as a staff photographer in Gulf News, Dubai. Presently she is working for International News Agency Associated Press (AP).
