World Best Lens - Sigma 85mm f/1.4 Art - DXOMark

Sigma 85mm lens

Sigma 85mm F1.4 lens becomes the world most perfect lens ever build to date. The sigma 85mm F1.4 Lens features amazing optics that made it world no 1 during the test. The lens features bright F1.4 aperture and Hyper Sonic Motor for fastest AF support. for more you buying option can visit B&H store

lens score

While looking at the score card we generally roll eyes to the sharpness score of any lens and after that we look at for Distortion, vignetting..etc.

While looking at the score card of Sigma you can see that lens is even more sharper then Ultra Expensive Carl Zeiss Otus. But, At the same time we can’t ignore that Tamron SP 85mm F1.8 Sharpness score is also same as of Sigma 85mm F1.4, but it goes down in table due to bit more distortion and Chr. aberration.

Makes you wonder how Nikon is ever going to survive as their market for selling lenses is dropping thanks to the outstanding products coming from Tamron and Sigma these days

I own this lens for portrait work, it gives out crisp and clear pic with creamy bokeh.
The only downside of the lens is it’s size.

    Awesome news for Sigma

BAD NEWS for Nikon as well as Canon, CanNikon Guys DO a Reverse Engineering and after that re-fresh ur line-up.

Tamron is ridiculously good value for what it offers and the only one of these I would choose. The Sigma is stupidly large, the Otus stupidly expensive. Not bad news for Canon or Nikon, Canon will release an 85 f//1.4L IS this year with BR lens, Nikon’s lens is already excellent. There’s more than just sharpness to worry about. All of these lenses are very sharp, but I’d take the one with the nicest bokeh.
