Pentax K-1 Officially Discontinued by Ricoh, they have posted its news on @PentaxRicohCR (Czech) Facebook page take a look at the screen shot below.

Pentax K-1 was one of the best camera ever made by Pentax (with Sony 36MP sensor) and high end specs. The Pentax K-1 is still the only Fullframe sensor based DSLR camera in the world that features built in 5-axis image stabilization.

    I think all of the two dozen K1 owners will upgrade to K2 🙂

    Striking that this excellent camera, well built, well specified and well priced, has been pushed to the grave so quickly. Will the Pentax owners draw some conclusions from this painful experience?

    @ etudiant: I’m not a Pentax owner but the post says that K1 will be discontinued but K1 MkII or K2 is waiting at the door. So the system will live on – happy news for Pentax owners!
