Panasonic Fullframe Mirrorless Specification Leaked

Panasonic initial set of full frame camera specification Leaked in the rumor mills, It’s really a surprise to see they have opted out a 30MP Fullframe sensor, and after reading the core specs of the cameras its look like they are full prepared to give competition to Canon and Nikon latest Fullframe Mirrorless camera announcements.

Let me tell you that it’s really surprised to see that finally Panasonic is entering in the full frame mirrorless camera world where Sony is leading right now. It safe to play with a medium format sensors / cameras because at that zone we have bit less competition and Sony is also absence along with Canon and Nikon.

Panasonic Fullframe Mirrorless Specification

  • Upcoming camera is set to feature 30 megapixel full frame sensor. So, Canon EOS R camera will now have some serious competition.
  • Full frame read out in 4K mode, 4K recording options at 24 / 25 frames per second.
full frame sensor read out which is really missing out from the Canon and Nikon recent announcements, and as you know that, when we talk about the Canon EOS R camera we are getting a 1. 74 X crop so it’s really interesting to see what Panasonic does with its new full frame mirrorless solution
  • Panasonic full frame mirrorless camera will also allow you to record 4K RAW, available only with with HDMI output.
HDMI port is present on the camera for high-quality output at 4:2:2 10-bit in all settings for use with external monitors and recorders.
  • Panasonic upcoming full frame mirrorless camera will also have two different card slots.
Yes the thing that Canon and Nikon missed this time is the availability of two different card slots in their camera. According to latest rumors Dual UHS-II SD Slots is expected to be present inside the next FF Mirrorless camera.
  • Next Full frame mirrorless camera will not have any built-in image stabilization system as we have seen inside the Panasonic GH 5S camera. But that’s not a good thing to hear.
  • No details about the upcoming full frame lenses.
  • Internal variable ND Filter is also present inside the camera.
  • Adapters will be available for other mounts including the Canon EF and Nikon FX mount.
    Nice to hear that too.
  • The Panasonic full frame mirrorless camera is weather sealed.
  • The camera 2 supports headphone jack, mic input, USB c and HDMI. Time code synchronization is also there.
  • Price of the camera is said to be $3000

  • Panasonic had to move to FF in order to deliver their 8K promise in the future. Totally saw it coming. It’s virtually impossible to use a m43 sized sensor for 8K. Current m43 sensors deliver resolutions somewhere in the range of 16 to 20Mpixels while 8K means 33~35 resolution (and if you put the aspect ration difference between 3:2 sensors and 16:9 screens, you probably need a sensor above 45MPixels.

I am realy curious the adapters. Ifit is good, than it is no problem if it has no huge lens selection, as it will have the biggest with canonand nikon glasses.pls add a focus motir into yhe adapters too to let screw drive d nikon lenses use.

This is wrong, the Nikon Z6 has full frame 4k readout. Just saying 😉

30MP so 6K is best you’ll see, use 6K and downsample to 4K would be very nice quality. Hopefully it has on-sensor PDAF otherwise will be of little interest outside video enthusiasts.

    Thanks for the tip

Agree, the should upgrade from DFD to PDAF or DPAF.

Over at 43rd rumors they have a reliable source that says it is a lot more than 30 mp. The Panasonic 8k sensor announced earlier on the year was 36mp. Also, in an article I read the word “cameras”. So, is there a 4k and 8k cameras (seems silly with a 4k Gh5 out there, but maybe it is two price ranges, with the 4k needing to be cheaper).

How absurd Teodore, a misunderstanding of the technology. Remember the old 50mp purevision phone sensor? There has been 6k smaller sensors on the list for years too. Sony has just announced an 8k small sensor aswell.

However, along the lines of my post above, what was the size and frame rate of that similar resolution Sony sensor just announced? If there are two cameras, and only one needs to use a Panasonic sensor, it could be the Panasonic in one and a Sony in the other. I personally don’t see it as a good idea to have two cameras of similar resolution on the high end range. Maybe one is the gh6 and will come in at around $2000, the gh?s line being the remaining 4/3rds in the gh lineup. So, if it does turn out that way, maybe one will be even higher resolution and 8k. You notice the Fran uses Sony global shutter example frames in it’s brochure. So maybe there is a 47mp+ special order sensor (ones which are not on the website). Time will tell, 13 days to go.
